To make sure their foot doesn’t end up bent out of shape, the shoe from toe to heel has a high level of torsional resistance due to its full-size internal shank.

Torsional resistance is important because it describes a shoe’s ability to immobilise and isolate complex structures in the foot. Whilst the front portion and rear portion of this shoe twists and allows for some flexibility, the middle section stays put – this is the shank of the shoe doing it’s job.
